Amazon price tracker & wishlist
Watch Amazon prices with WindowShopping
Amazon prices move constantly, the same item can be a few dollars higher today than it was last week, and lower again next week. WindowShopping lets you save an Amazon product and may monitor its price when page access supports it, so you can keep it in the same list as everything you've saved from other stores.
Why track Amazon prices?
Because the sticker price isn't fixed. Prices shift with demand, competition, and promotions, and a "sale" isn't always a real low. Saving the item at the price you first saw gives you a reference point, so when WindowShopping tells you it dropped, you know it's a genuine drop from what you were looking at.
How to track an Amazon price with WindowShopping
- On desktop: open the Amazon product page and click the WindowShopping button to save it. Pick a collection and you're done.
- On iPhone: the WindowShopping iOS app has been submitted to the App Store and is coming soon, pending approval. Until then, use the Chrome or Firefox extension.
- By link: paste an Amazon product URL into the website and the name, image, and price are pre-filled when usable metadata is available. Review and edit them before saving.
- Check monitoring status: Amazon may block automatic background requests. When monitoring is supported, WindowShopping checks about hourly while your browser is available and requires two successful observations before a price alert is sent. Restock alerts require a confident match to the saved product or exact variant.
Not just Amazon
The advantage of a cross-store wishlist is that Amazon doesn't sit in a silo. The jacket you saved from a boutique, the shoes from a brand's own site, and the gadget from Amazon can live in one list. Saving does not mean each product has the same monitoring scope. When you're comparing where to buy, they're side by side instead of scattered across separate tabs and accounts.
Save Amazon products for free. Keep them beside products from other stores, and use the product's monitoring status to confirm whether automatic checks are available.
